HandsOn Network creates online space for social entrepreneurs
Social entrepreneurs now have a one-stop-shop to share and enhance their knowledge in the area of social development.
Developed by HandsOn Network, the website is called HandsonSocial Network and is also designed to benefit volunteers, non-profits and companies, enabling them to improve quality of life for families and communities.
The site features areas where visitors can share experiences, demonstrate projects, specify concerns, seek help and strengthen project initiatives. In addition, the users participating in the network can publish articles, news, research and projects in the area of sustainable social development like art, education, environment, health, business, training, and alternative technologies, among others.
Members of the website who face the same challenges of conducting good sustainable social programs for people with limited resources can collaborate and form a bank of technical responses and successful best practices to meet the needs of different audiences.
HandsOn Network is the volunteer-focused arm of Points of Light Institute.
