New Website: Better Questions, Better Decisions Voter Education Initiative
Posted by on October 8, 2004
We are excited to announce the launch of the website for the Better Questions, Better Decisions Voter Education Initiative. Better Questions, Better Decisions offers a non-partisan, skill-building educational strategy that engages more low-income citizens as voters and can complement existing
approaches. This initiative, a program of the Right Question Project, in collaboration with Creative Narrations, consists of the following components:
. In the Land of Decisions – a 1-1/2 hour workshop incorporating simple exercises to help low-income citizens discover connections between their lives and the value of voting. This workshop is available as a download from the website and is designed for educators, social service providers, and community
organizers to implement in small group settings.
. Their Decisions, Our Stories, – a DVD/VHS in which individuals tell personal stories about how public decision-making impacts their lives. These stories are
available on the web with a download-able facilitator’s guide and is an ideal follow-up to the In the Land of Decisions workshop.
The workshop and videos are both available on our website, http://www.rightquestion.org/betterdecisions, or can be ordered as a kit for $25.00. The activities are straightforward, and come with guides to make the process as easy as possible. Please try them out, voter registration deadlines are looming large!
If you are also interested in facilitator training to lead workshops, or in producing digital stories in your community, please contact us. We also look
forward to hearing your feedback and results. Send us an email at info@rightquestion.org
Sincerely,
Luz Santana, Dan Rothstein and Natasha Freidus
