New Videos about US Social Forum

Posted by U.S. Social Forum on May 25, 2015

Thousands of people from across the country will join us from June 24 – 28th for the US Social Forum. Together we will lift up the stories and the struggles of the voiceless of Philadelphia, the Bay Area, and the United States as a whole, together we will build another world. Join Us!

The US Social Forum and People’s Movement Assembly process, led by those most impacted by the current system, helps build alliances and develop action plans for our movement against all forms of oppression. We join movements in the World Social Forums who call on us to oppose our government’s role in this unjust global system.

In June 2015, our movement will converge in two US cities – San Jose, California and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – with smaller gatherings in the South and in locations in Canada and Mexico, to build unity of purpose and action around three critical questions:

  • What is the function of an economy and how do we construct a just one?
  • What is true democracy and how can we realize it?
  • What is a nurturing and protective relationship with the Earth and how do we regain that?

We invite communities everywhere to organize People’s Movement Assemblies, attend the social forum people’s convergences, and help us build another world following the gatherings in 2015. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for!
