New Toolkit Provides Practical Solutions for Effective Translated Health Information
Clear communication is a cornerstone of patient safety and quality health care. In the United States, there are nearly 24 million people who are unable to speak or understand English, which poses significant communication challenges to health care providers and medical organizations. To help address this challenge, Hablamos Juntos and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) have released the “More Than Words” Toolkit Series, a first-of-its-kind resource that clarifies the translation process, and provides a roadmap to help health care organizations improve the quality of their translated materials in order to get better results.
