New Teacher Workshop: Partnering for Student Success: Building Relationships with Community – May 12
Posted by Teacher Education Alliance on April 19, 2022
The Teacher Education Alliance (TEA) New Teacher Program was created through a collaboration among regional teacher education programs and organizations. The purpose is to create a safe and engaging space for early career educators to explore the challenges and opportunities they are encountering in their classrooms.
Each workshop will be led by an expert in the field, with tips and strategies as well as guided conversations aimed at sharing practice and building a sustainable, professional community of new educators. Topics include culturally responsive teaching, building a culture of inquiry, effective questioning, self-care, and much more!
All sessions will be offered via Zoom from 7:00-8:00 PM. Links will be sent to registered participants a week prior to each session.
This session will give a brief overview some best practices around leveraging school-based partnership and introduce the Partnership Toolkit Resource Guide. We will show you a conversation guide and have you take a needs assessment to both help you establish the value of partnership at your school and articulate the kind of partnership your students could benefit from. We will leave you with some practical ways you can connect with partners to meet those needs.
Date and Time: Thursday, May 12, 2022, 7:00-8:00 PM
