NEW SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION WEBSITE
The new website (http://www.ibuydifferent.org) is a joint collaboration of the World Wildlife Federation and the Center for a New American Dream. It focuses on the effects of everyday purchases on the environment, and our health. “In taking a closer look at the life story of some of the stuff you use everyday you’ll see what it really takes to make the things we use-and what it costs people and places all over the world.” The site also features the “life stories” of several common products, including a hamburger, light bulb, paper, and your shower. To view the “life stories” visit http://www.ibuydifferent.org/whatsthedeal/day_in_the_life.asp
