New Study: Do verbal skills influence math gender gap?

While girls’ math skills are on par with their male peers, their superior verbal skills could be why so many choose careers outside of math, according to a study. Researchers, who studied 15-year-old students in 64 countries, say their data showed boys were still more interested in STEM fields than girls at that age.
