Bryn Mawr College has an opening for a New Student Programs Coordinator in the Student Engagement and New Student Programs office.

The Position

The New Student Programs Coordinator will work in partnership with the Student Engagement Coordinator and will play a vital role in the Student Engagement and New Student Programs team.

The New Student Programs Coordinator (NSPC) will provide a well-rounded, guided, and positive experience for all first-year students, helping students transition to and successfully navigate their first year. The NSPC helps to create a vibrant, purposeful, and supportive college community and assists in training and programming for all class years. The Coordinator is part of a four person on call rotation providing consultation and/or response for emergency situations, providing on-call consultation and/or emergency response for physical and mental health crises, alcohol and drugs incidents, and interpersonal conflicts.  This has a flexible work schedule as some nights and weekends are required.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree but a master’s in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, or a related field is preferred.  We require a minimum one-year post-undergraduate experience in student engagement, student activities, student life, first-year or new student programs, or related field delivering high-quality student co-curricular learning, training, and programming.  Must have a commitment to social justice and inclusion and a desire to work with a diverse population.  Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
