New Resources Supporting Faculty Community Engagement

Posted by University of Richmond on September 17, 2024

The Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) at the University of Richmond (UR) is excited to share three new resources co-authored by Center staff and University faculty. These resources are: Suggestions for Early Career Community-Engaged Scholars, Community-Engaged Faculty Activity: A Resource for Department Chairs, and Valuing Community Engagement Throughout the Faculty Recruitment Process.

These resources were designed to provide key resources, information, and questions that various university stakeholders (department chairs, early career faculty, and search committee chairs) can use to define what community engagement means for them and their university. We crafted these specifically for the liberal arts context, but believe they can be useful for all University types.

We welcome any feedback on these documents. If you have thoughts or questions, then please reach out to Derek Miller, dmiller4@richmond.edu

These documents were created with the generous support of the Bonner Foundation’s Community-Engaged Learning Initiative.
