New Reports on School Improvement Grants Available Now
The Center on Education Policy (CEP) released two new reports examining the first year of implementation of School Improvement Grant (SIG) programs funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
The first report, State Implementation and Perception of Title I School Improvement Grants under the Recovery Act: One Year Later, is based on responses to a survey of state Title I directors in 45 states and the District of Columbia, and includes states views on the program’s major requirements, the amount of funding provided, and the competitive grant process.
The second report, Opportunities and Obstacles: Implementing Stimulus-Funded School Improvement Grants in Maryland, Michigan, and Idaho, takes an in-depth look at SIG implementation in Maryland, Michigan, and Idaho.
