State of the Nation’s Housing 2003, a new publication from the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University, recaps 2002 as the strongest year for housing on record. Even with home ownership rates and residential investment hitting new highs, the slow recovery from economic recession has prompted increased mortgage delinquency and low rent rates. The report maintains the outlook for the future is positive, but low- and middle-income housing will continue to be face new challenges.
