New Report: Science, Gender, and Afterschool

Educational Equity Concepts (EEC) and the Academy for Educational Development (AED) released a new report today entitled, “Science, Gender, and Afterschool: A Research-Action Agenda.” The report includes a research-action agenda to “enhance the role of afterschool education in increasing girls’ participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics courses, majors, and careers.”
The agenda is based on proceedings and discussions at the Science, Gender, and Afterschool Conference held in Washington, DC in September, 2002. The conference was funded by the National Science Foundation and sponsored by EEC and AED.
