New Report: Is Higher Education Ready to Commit to Community Engagement
Posted by on April 8, 2005
Calling the Question: Is Higher Education Ready to Commit to Community Engagement? is a report resulting from an April 2004 Wingspread conference on Institutionalizing University Engagement. The report identifies six practices that help to institutionalize engagement in sustainable ways: integrate engagement into mission; forge partnerships as the overarching framework for engagement; renew and redefine discovery and scholarship; integrate engagement into teaching and learning; recruit and support new champions; and create radical institutional change.
