Green Prosperity: How Clean-Energy Policies can Fight Poverty and Raise Living Standards
From Green For All, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Political Economy Research Institute
“Green Prosperity” provides evidence for the positive impacts that investments in the green economy would have on low-income communities in Philadelphia and across the country. The report demonstrates that clean-energy investments create three times as many jobs as the same level of investment in fossil fuel technologies. Further, “Green Prosperity” reports that if Pennsylvania invests $6.1 billion in clean energy technologies, 21,386 jobs would be created in Philadelphia, half of which would be for workers for with high school diplomas or less. You can read the report here.
