New Report: Case Study on Community Technology
Posted by on March 5, 2004
Hello all,
Over a year ago, Teaming for Technology at United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania launched the T4T Digital Inclusion Program that has promoted our local Philadelphia version of the Beehive (http://www.thebeehive.org/philly). The Beehive is a website developed by One Economy Corporation, a non-profit organization based in Washington DC. This website contains extensive information and resources about the things that matter to people: money, health, jobs, school and family. The Beehive targets low to moderate income families looking to improve their quality of life. Through streamlining social services information, the Beehive provides a central online location to access important information seamlessly amongst commercial and social service providers.
We have recently complete a report based from data collected from users at 13 Community Technology Centers (CTCs) throughout the region.
The report can be found on our website at: http://www.uwsepa.org/team4tech/research_reports.htm . Any feedback that you might have would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks Smita Paranjabe who did the statistical analysis completely on a volunteer basis.
Special thanks to our program partners in the T4T Digital Inclusion Program: Achieveability (formerly Philadelphians Concerned About Housing), One Economy Corporation and People’s Emergency Center.
Also, thanks to the participating T4T member agencies who performed the training in the Beehive for their clients:
