Report assesses women’s socioeconomic status
Women’s Way will release the 2008 update to its signature research report, A Change of Pace: Accelerating Women’s Progress, at a free event on Thursday, December 11th. The report is an assessment of women’s socioeconomic status in the region and serves as a call to action through specific recommendations for accelerating the pace of women’s advancement.
A Change of Pace examines the continuing gender wage gap, the impact of scarce affordable housing, health care and child care on women’s socioeconomic security, continuing threats of violence against women, limitations on reproductive freedom, and the gross under-representation of women in corporate and government leadership positions.
The event will take place from 5:30-7:30pm at the Comisky Conference Center, One Logan Square, 18th & Cherry Streets, Philadelphia. Advanced registration is required. RSVP here or call 215-985-3322.
