new prison education program seeks volunteers, Petey Greene Program
Posted by Petey Greene Program on August 11, 2014
For schools looking to offer a service opportunity related to education and the criminal justice system– the Petey Greene Program is expanding to Philadelphia! Petey Greene is a non-profit that partners with colleges and universities to bring volunteer tutors into correctional facilities. We began in New Jersey, where now hundreds of volunteers from five schools tutor in eight different facilities. More information about the organization can be found on our website, http://www.peteygreene.org. If you would like to learn more about starting Petey Greene at your school, please contact Sandra Knuth at [email protected].
