New Podcast: The Uncertain Educator
Posted by University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education on January 25, 2022
The Uncertain Educator podcast, a new series developed at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE), looks at the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact and explores how people have pivoted during these uncertain times. With a focus on understanding mental wellness, the podcast brings together on-the-ground educators and a range of experts to share their findings and experiences since the pandemic began.
Host Dr. Debora Broderick, a long-time educator and teacher-researcher, highlights topics and themes discovered from the Project for Mental Health and Optimal Development at Penn GSE. Over five episodes, she convenes pairings including parents, a teacher and student, and community partners who have found creative ways to cope — and, for some, thrive — throughout the pandemic.
