Hi COMM-ORG,
I am very pleased to announce a new addition to the COMM-ORG Papers Collection:
Establishing A Conceptual Model Of Community-Based Research Through Contrasting Case Studies
by Barri E. Tinkler
This is a focused and honest look at the issues involved in academic-community organization partnerships. It is also a full-length doctoral dissertation, but don’t let that put you off. It is very accessible, personal, and grounded.
You can find the paper at the COMM-ORG “Papers” page, in the 2004 section:
http://comm-org.utoledo.edu/papers.htm
You can access this work in individual chapters (recommended for telephone modem users) or as a single large (450k) file.
I hope that the paper inspires some discussion. Authors contribute papers to COMM-ORG in the hopes of getting comments, so please feel welcomed to contact Barri directly or discuss the paper through the list.
Thanks to Barri for contributing this work.
