I am very pleased to announce an addition to the COMM-ORG papers collection:
Mike Miller, A Critique of John McKnight & John Kretzmann’s “Community Organizing in the Eighties: Toward a Post-Alinsky Agenda”
The paper is available through http://comm-org.wisc.edu/comm-org/page.php?7
While Mike wrote the paper some time ago, it is quite relevant given our recent list discussion and current events that seem to call into question non-conflict organizing models.
This paper also inaugurates a new COMM-ORG website module where you can discuss the paper online if you wish. You will see in the table of contents a “reader comments” link that will take you to an online forum. You need to register on the website in order to post comments.
