The Philadelphia Regional Noyce Partnership invites you – new STEM teachers (1st – 3rd year), teaching middle or high school, to join us for a day long professional development focused on getting ready for the new school year. This is the first in a 3 part series in which new teachers are asked to think and act seriously about student engagement right from the first day of school. Participants will be challenged to take what they have learned at this professional development into their classrooms and engage in some action research, exploring the impact on their students and reflecting on ways to continue to build their student engagement and classroom management skills through the building of relationships with their students.
Participants will be sent home with a cartload of materials and a boatload of tools to help them build relationships and engage their students.
Breakfast, lunch and Act 48 credit provided
