NEW Leadership Pennsylvania program
Posted by on April 23, 2004
The NEW Leadership Pennsylvania program is designed to address the underrepresentation of women in politics focusing on the role of women in politics and policy making in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. One can easily see that women’s presence in national politics is limited, and the scope of women’s political presence in Pennsylvania is even more limited. Pennsylvania ranks among the lowest three states in the country in regards to women’s political participation according to a study completed by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research. Applications are available from your student affairs office or contact the Center for the name of your school’s representative. A brochure about this year’s NEW Leadership program, to be held June 6-12 on the Chatham campus, can be obtained here.
