Posted by Andrew Goodman Foundation on April 26, 2022
Season two of the Live The Legacy podcast bridges the present with the future to explore the landscape of voting rights in our country by capturing conversations between current voting rights advocates and the next generation of activists. This season will feature six different interviews with our Andrew Goodman Ambassadors and current voting rights activists, lawyers, and leaders. The conversations will highlight the power of the youth vote, advice for future voting rights activists, and strategies to continue fighting for the right to vote.
In this episode, we focus on the intersections of the climate emergency and democracy. How are climate justice and democracy related? Why is it important for young people to get to the ballot box in order to stop the effects of climate change? In this special Earth Day episode, hear from Rev. Yearwood about how he has mixed civic engagement and environmental justice to make much-needed change.
