Paycheck to Paycheck: Wages and the Cost of Housing in America, a new online database from National Housing Conference’s Center for Housing Policy, is an interactive annual homeownership and rental study of Metropolitan areas nationwide. The findings were released in coordination with a new NHC county study, Paycheck to Paycheck: Wages and the Cost of Housing in Counties. These studies encompass 136 Metro areas, 64 occupations and 30 counties with the Metro area data provided in an online database. The study finds that incomes continue to lag behind housing costs and the South has been particularly hard hit. For more on the relationship of wages and housing and to view the online database, visit the National Housing Conference website.
