New Book: Elder Care and Service Learning

Greenwood Publishing has recently published a reader for students in service learning in elder care classes which would also be appropriate for students in other health related service-learning programs. Called ?Elder Care and Service Learning: A Handbook,? the book contains eight sections, each with three to seven chapters. The seven sections are: what is service learning; basic information on aging; the service learning class; communication skills; doing service learning with the elderly; elder care issues, policy and history; case studies of service learning experiences.
