Building Healthy Communities in Environmental Justice Areas
The BHCEJA model is evidenced base and requires assessment, critical thinking, systematic planning and the reconceptualization of disease. The BHCEJA model is a biopsychosocial health model with an environmental health component that: requires a health assessment of the community based upon standardized health indicators and area based socioeconomic measures; and an assessment of the risk from the environmental burden (TRI chemicals released into the community) of the community.
