The Spring 2006 Bulletin of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences includes an article entitled “Shapers of the New City: Cultural Institutions and Universities” coauthored by Robert Campbell, an architect and a writer; John Bryan, Retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Sara Lee Corporation, and Chairman of Millennium Park, Inc; Richard Franke, Chairman and CEO Emeritus of the John Nuveen Company, and Chairman of the Chicago Humanities Festival; James Cuno, President and Director of the Art Institute of Chicago; and Don Michael Randel, former President of the University of Chicago and now President of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
