New Article: How to Make Sure City Budgets Ensure Racial Equity

As the pandemic continues to rage, the necessity of centering questions of race and equity in all aspects of budgeting has become apparent to many city leaders. But what does this mean for governments struggling to serve the same size population with smaller budgets and significantly smaller staffs? If it’s true that budgets reflect the values of an organization, what can government agencies do to make meaningful steps toward racial equity? Bloomberg CityLab has seven suggestions.
