NFS supports emergency needs of nonprofits
The Neighborhood Funding Stream is a grant-making program administered by Philadelphia’s Commerce Department in partnership with United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Its mission is to support sustainable community and economic development efforts in a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
This year, the NFS is making available grants of up to $2,000 the network of vibrant and effective non-profit community organizations in the American Street Empowerment Zone, and to prevent crises from limiting the ability of this network to provide much-needed services to the community.
Grants will be awarded to address emergency facility, equipment and basic systems repairs and upgrades. Projects supported with these funds must be completed by June 30, 2010.
