Neighborhood Bike Works seeks a program coordinator. NBW is a growing youth development organization that needs a dedicated staff person to supervise our crew of instructors, design and implement programs and partnerships, write reports, and work with youth and families.

Youth Work experience and good organizational skills essential; bicycle repair experience a plus. Job includes supervising people who teach bicycle repair to youth and adults as well as teaching classes, so candidates not able to do this must demonstrate ability to learn this aspect of the job quickly and completely. Must enjoy bicycles and bicycling. MS office computer skills. Extremely good communications skills and ability to work with a very diverse population of students and volunteers.

Neighborhood Bike Works Program Coordinator Job Description

Reports to: Executive Director

Full time position. It is a requirement to regularly work later in the day (6:30PM) because we are an after school program, as well as regularly on weekends.

Duties:
Teach Earn-A-Bike classes (health, nutrition, and bicycle repair/safety)
Train and supervise Earn-a-Bike instructors and bicycle fitness program staff
Schedule instructors and other staff members for Earn-a-Bike classes,
rides and other events
Train and supervise volunteers, work-study students and youth staff
Organize bike rides and special events
Work with instructional staff to prepare monthly, bi-monthly and annual attendance reports and other program reports as needed for funders, partner organizations and internal program evaluation.
Work with families and partners to recruit students for classes
Attend meetings/trainings put on by partner agencies/organizations
Work with partner organizations to plan classes and events

Qualifications
Youth Work experience and good organizational skills essential; bicycle repair experience a plus. Must enjoy bicycles and bicycling. MS office computer skills. Extremely good communications skills and ability to work with a very diverse population of students and volunteers.
