Neighborhood Bike Works Mural Unveiling
Posted by on June 3, 2005
In conjunction with our 40th St Earn-a-Bike class’s graduation, we will be holding an unveiling ceremony of our two new murals.
Date: June 9th
Time: 5-7:30p
The murals in our shop’s hallway were painted by the Mural Arts Program’s Mural Corps, a youth program stressing community development and higher education. Children ages 14-18 have been working on the murals for several months.
Our ceremony will include words from our Executive Director, Andy Dyson, our Program Coordinator and class instructor, Anna Shipp, the Mural Arts Program Director, Jane Golden, the Mural Arts Corps and the muralist, Eric Okdeh, as well as a diploma ceremony and refreshments. It will be held at our St. Mary’s shop at 39th and Locust.
For more detailed directions and a map, see our website– http://www.neighborhoodbikeworks.org.
All are welcome, but we are asking that you RSVP. Email us at info@neighborhoobikeworks.org or call us, 215-386-0316 and let us know how many guests you are bringing.
Hope to see you there!
