Need In Deed Summer Book Club: Radical Equations – Aug 4,11 & 18
Posted by Need In Deed on July 27, 2021
This summer we’re reading Robert Moses’s amazing book, Radical Equations: Civil Rights from Mississippi to the Algebra Project. Please join us at any (or all!) of the following times for a rich discussion. We see lots of connections and relevance to our work and we want to hear your thoughts and insights as we consider the role of mathematical literacy as critical to advancing equity. We look forward to thinking together about how the organizing strategies of the Civil Rights movement are relevant for us today as we strive for an educational approach that meets the real needs of citizenship for all students.
Dates and Times: August 4, 11 & 18, 11:00 AM
Robert Moses passed away on July 25, 2021. Read his obituary in the Washington Post.
