Need in Deed on the radio!
Posted by on August 19, 2005
We are excited that sound portraits based on interviews conducted by Need in Deed students will be featured on National Public Radio’s Morning Edition. The segment will air on Friday, August 26, at 6:51 a.m., 8:51 a.m., and 10:51 a.m, on your local NPR station. In Philadelphia, WHYY Radio 91 FM.
Completed as part of an 8th grade service-learning project, these poignant recordings preserve remembrances of several young victims of gun violence. We invite you to tune in and hear for yourself just what service-learning can accomplish. If you miss the program, please visit http://www.needindeed.org for links to listen online, as well as further details about the project.
