Posted by on March 23, 2009
The NC Center for Afterschool Programs invites you to attend our statewide afterschool SYNERGY Conference
Scheduled for April 29 – May 1, 2009, at the Joseph S. Koury Center in Greensboro, NC. The event will feature over 30 workshops, 20 vendors, networking receptions, Pre-Conference opportunities, and the public release of the Move More North Carolina: Recommended Standards for Physical Activity Afterschool. We will also host a youth-led Forum on Afterschool to learn how communities can build and sustain high quality, accessible afterschool programs. The event will be held the evening of April 30, with approximately 250 educators, state and community leaders, and press from across North Carolina in attendance. At the Forum, youth leaders will share their perspectives on the importance of high quality afterschool programs. The goal is to foster dialogue between afterschool providers, community leaders, parents and others on the issues surrounding quality afterschool care.
We expect an audience of 300 afterschool providers and educators. For more information, link to the flier on our website at http://www.nccap.net/SYNERGY2009.pdf or visit the conference page at http://www.nccap.net/about/conference.cfm.
