Navigating Grad School as a First-Gen. &/Or Low-Income Graduate – Aug 31
Posted by Alliance for the Low-Income and First-Generation Narrative on August 31, 2021
Entering grad school after college comes with new challenges. From finding mentorship and community, to figuring out your finances and what comes after grad school, please join our first-gen panelists – Dr. Lisette Sanchez (Master’s and PhD in counseling psychology), Dr. Rosa Yu (MD), Jorge Cortes (Master’s in aerospace engineering and current astronomy PhD), and Haylle Reidy (MBA and MPH) – as they take us through their experiences and offer their advice on transitioning from college to grad school. Afterward, we will break out into groups facilitated by each of our panelists for more specific conversations on your interests.
Co-hosted by the Alliance for the Low-Income & First-Generation Narrative (AL1GN) and the Empowering First Generation College Students Facebook group, this event is the third in our joint series of professional development events this summer.
The event will be on Zoom on Tuesday, August 31, 7:00-8:30 pm.
Zoom link will be provided in the confirmation message when you register.
