National Service-Learning Partnership Building its Board
Posted by on January 17, 2003
Nominate yourself or someone you know to the National Service-Learning Partnership’s Board of Directors. Three positions on the board are now open and nominations to fill them will be accepted through January 23rd. Leaders from every segment of the membership are encouraged to apply: youth, parents, teachers, administrators, policymakers, business and community leaders, etc.
Board members are called on to attend 2-3 meetings in person per year and participate in monthly conference calls. The Partnership pays board members’ travel and telephone expenses. You should expect to volunteer an average of 10 hours per month in your role as board member.
Submit your nomination by email to [email protected]. Include information about the nominee’s prior board experience and a brief statement about what resources, skills and expertise he or she would bring to the leadership of a new national organization. Please also attach to the email an electronic version of the nominee’s resume.
