National Service-Learning Conference Lightning Talks & Student Showcases – Jan 23
Posted by National Youth Leadership Council on January 20, 2026
The National Youth Leadership Council is proud to announce a bold new partnership: the National Service-Learning Conference is uniting with the Points of Light Conference, June 22-25, 2026 in Washington, D.C.. This integration creates a shared platform where youth leaders and global changemakers collaborate as equals. Youth Service America (YSA) is excited to support this partnership that will position youth service, voice, and leadership as an essential part of America’s largest volunteering and civic engagement convening.
SLC attendees will still enjoy youth showcases, peer networking, and familiar programming—plus access to Points of Light main stage moments, expanded workshops, and intergenerational connections.
The Points of Light Conference is the world’s largest gathering of civic engagement leaders. It brings together companies, nonprofits, and civic innovators to strengthen purpose, deepen community ties, and build national resilience.
Lightning Talks are a fast-paced, interactive experience where you’ll exchange ideas, spark dialogue, and build meaningful connections in an energizing small-group setting.
Are you a young changemaker making a difference in your school or community? The Student Showcase is your opportunity to spotlight your project, connect with peers, and inspire others to take action. Share how your project came to life and what others can learn from your experience.
Applications are due January 23, 2026.
