National Meeting on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence Prevention in Higher Education

Please consider being a presenter at the U.S. Department of Education’s 2002 National Meeting on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence Prevention in Higher Education. This year’s meeting takes place in Seattle, Thursday – Sunday, November 21 – 24, 2002, with the theme, “Reaching New Heights:Building Partnerships for Comprehensive Prevention.” Deadline is 5/24.

The U.S. Department of Education invites presentation proposals with emphasis this year on violence prevention, emerging drug use patterns and problems, diversity, two-year institutions, and policy and enforcement tools.
They are considering submitted proposals primarily for workshops and poster presentations but also may select certain proposals to include within town meeting, showcase, professional development, and even plenary sessions. Preference will be given to programs with documented results.
