National Low Income Housing Coalition Policy Conference

The National Low Income Housing Coalition Policy Conference
While much attention, appropriately, has been on the plight of foreclosed homeowners, we’ve only recently begun to focus on the consequences of the foreclosure crisis on tenants. This awareness is due, in large part, thanks to the efforts of one of the nation’s leading advocates for low-income tenants, the National Low Income Housing Coalition.
On April 20, 21, and 22 the Coalition will hold its annual policy meeting in Washington DC. Each year the Coalition presents numerous workshops and panels on the housing crisis affecting tenants as well as other affordable housing topics. This year’s keynotes include HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan, Senator Christopher Dodd, Congressman Barney Frank and Congresswoman Maxine Waters and the White House Domestic Policy Council Director Melody Barnes.
