Nominations Invited for National Family Volunteer Awards
Deadline: March 15, 2004
Presented by the Youth & Family Outreach department of the Points of Light Foundation (<a href="http://www.pointsoflight.org/">http://www.pointsoflight.org/</a>), the National Family Volunteer Award recognizes outstanding family volunteering activities performed at any time during the previous year. Volunteer efforts may include, but are not limited to, National Family Volunteer Day activities.
The program recognizes volunteering activities in the following categories: Families, Business/Corporations, Nonprofit Agencies, and Volunteer Centers. The awards committee is particularly interested in projects or programs that have been instrumental in working with and/or in communities where conditions are "tough" — i.e., urban or rural.
The Points of Light Foundation will present the awards at the National Conference on Community Volunteering and National Service in Kansas City, Missouri, June 6-8, 2004.
See the Points of Light Foundation Web site for program criteria and/or to download a nomination form.
