Literacy Commission celebrates opening of three centers
The Mayor’s Commission on Literacy will celebrate the grand opening of three myPLACE campuses on Thursday, February 20th at 10am at Congreso de Latinos Unidos, 2800 North American Street.
myPLACE, which stands for Philadelphia Literacy & Adult Career Education, is the city’s new one-stop location for adult education and career preparation services. Mayor Michael Nutter, Assistant Secretary of Education Dr. Brenda Dann-Messier, State Rep. Louise Williams Bishop and other special guests will participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony.
