If the answer is YES to any of these questions you may be interested in:
“My Corps Summer”.
The Pennsylvania Service Learning Alliance and YouthAbility are piloting a summer program called “My Corps Summer” where special education students from the Philadelphia area will experience what it would be like if they decided to join a National Corps Program like National School and Community Corps (NSCC). We are looking for volunteers to serve as mentors and evaluators as these students participate in Service-Learning activities.
SO WHAT’S THE DEAL?
9 days = July 15-19, 22-24 Monday-Friday — 9:30 -3:00. -lunch and other perks included
2 Training/planning sessions (from high quality Prof. Development providers) about an 1 ? hours each. Dates TBA
1 Celebration day! July 25th
In all honestly it should be a lot of fun and a great experience.
