NCTM Accepting Applications for Music Projects to Teach Mathematics Grants for Grades Pre-K–5 Teachers
The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics is accepting applications from teachers of pre-K-5 mathematics for projects that incorporate music into the classroom to help young students learn math.
Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded to individual classroom teachers or small groups of teachers collaborating in a grade or across grade levels. Any acquisition of equipment must support the proposed plan but not be the primary focus of the grant. Proposals must address the integration of mathematics and music, planning for improving students’ learning, and/or the anticipated impact on student achievement.
Applicants must be a current Full Individual or E-Member of NCTM or teach in a school with a current NCTM pre-K–8 school membership and currently teach mathematics or collaborate with teachers of math in grades pre-K–2.
For complete program guidelines and application information, see the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics website.
