Mural Arts AVRP Assistant Instructor
AVRP- The Adolescent Violence Reduction Partnership is new initiative from Mayor Street addressing students 10-15 who are risk for violence, or have had exposure to violence. Overall program provides various interventions from mental health, tutoring, counseling, depending on the need of the youth. Mural Arts is providing one component to the program and will be required for many of the students. Assistant Instructor – Work as an assistant with Lead Instructors, youth and Muralist. Candidates must have good classroom management skills, experience with youth, strong leadership, initiative, and a desire to engage youth through the Arts. Program will run January ? June 2007; Monday- Thursday 3-6 and Some Saturdays
