Title : Multi Media Program Assistant
This is a grant funded position with the University Community Collaborative of Philadelphia. The UCCP “prepares and supports youth and young adults to become confident, effective leaders and collaborates with organizations to create cultures that value and integrate the contributions of youth, thereby building stronger communities.” The UCCP carries out its mission through programming, technical assistance and applied research activities. The Coordinator will have overall responsibility for UCCP’s media and communications components including media production, media training and all education components related to media. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Associates degree and at least one year of directly related technical/multi-media experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*At least one year experience working with youth and young adults.
*Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals including youth and young adults.
*Experience in Web Publishing including video, blogging and interactive Web 2.0 platforms.
*Demonstrated experience with the following: Microsoft Office, HTML/CSS, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro.
*Experience with inventory management.
*Demonstrated experience in: project management, media production, marketing, graphic/layout design, web design, copywriting.
*Ability to work nights and/or weekends, if necessary, and travel to off-campus locations that may not be accessible via public transportation.
*Ability to lift/move equipment weighing approximately 15 pounds.
Preferred:
*Bachelor’s degree.
*Adobe Photoshop.
*Adobe InDesign.
