Moving Young People from Participants to Decision Makers

Join our dynamic youth and adult training team for this interactive training. Together we will explore benefits and barriers to involving young people as leaders, discover concrete ways to support and encourage young people in your organization, and investigate models you can use (including youth on boards, youth advisory councils and youth summits) to engage young people as leaders. Learn the basics of youth-adult partnerships, strategies for creating organizational buy-in, and develop an action plan to take back home. This seminar is designed for Volunteer Centers, Community-Based Organizations, Government Agencies, Nonprofit Organizations and Schools with established seeking to engage youth in more meaningful roles.
