Moving Towards an Understanding of Women in the Wind Energy Workforce
Thursday, November 17, 2011 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST
This is an early effort to better understand the demographics across the variety of sectors that make up the wind industry through polling of the participants at Women of Wind Energy events, surveying of the American Wind Energy Association’s HR working group, and a review of industry-related conference speakers and authors.
In addition to this data, the webinar will explore other recent studies, research, and case studies that make the business case for bringing more women and minorities on board and diversifying decision-making as well as highlighting best practices that could potentially be implemented by companies in the renewable energy industry.
Kristy Graf is the Executive Director of Women for Wind Energy (WoWE) and is a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program.
