You are invited to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine?s program: Something to smile about?Motivating Your Students Toward a Career in Dentistry
The program is a half-day seminar workshop for all counselors & science teachers taking place on TUESDAY APRIL 27th from 9am-1pm so unfortunately there is not much time left to RSVP.
The goal of the program is to provide a window into the exciting world of dental medicine. We have organized a program allowing us to share dentistry in the 21st century. We hope that by participating the counselors and science teachers will learn more about dentistry including the variety of opportunities, flexibility, income, etc. Hopefully, they will then in turn share this knowledge with their students, especially those interested in the health and basic sciences.
The day is scheduled as follows:
9:00 Welcome and Introductions
Breakfast
9:45 Dentistry and its many Career Options
10:15 Tour of Dental School & Virtual Reality Classroom
11:00 Students speak: How my Guidance Counselor helped me
11:45 How to Prepare for a Career in Dentistry
12:15 Lunch and Q&A Session
If you are interested in attending or would like more information please contact us via email at mcpasser@dolphin.upenn.edu or by phone to Susan Schwartz at 215-898-4550.
