Sister Sledge vocalist hosts Mothers in Charge dinner
Kathy Sledge, the lead vocalist in the legendary rock and soul group Sister Sledge, is the honorary chairperson for the Mothers In Charge 7th anniversary dinner to take place on Tuesday, May 11th from 5:30-8pm at Penn’s Landing Caterer, 1301 S. Columbus Blvd. in Philadelphia.
Mothers in Charge will formally launch its 1,000 Women for 1,000 Girls campaign during the dinner. This campaign will challenge women throughout the Philadelphia region to provide guidance to young girls.
The goal of 1,000 Women for 1,000 Girls is to instill a positive sense of self in young ladies ages 7-17.
