Montco’s ElderNet needs volunteer drivers
ElderNet urgently needs volunteer drivers to take frail elderly and younger disabled residents of Lower Merion and Narberth to doctors’ appointments, on errands and to the grocery store. An average trip is about one and one half hours. ElderNet reimburses generously for gas, tolls and parking. The organization has an umbrella insurance policy for liability.
Volunteer drivers are mainly needed during the day when medical offices are open, but individuals who work during the day and want to take a client shopping or shop for the client on evenings and/or weekends are also encouraged to volunteer. Handypersons to do odd jobs are also needed. To find out more, email Beth Fast at BFast@eldernetonline.org or call 610-525-0706. To learn more about ElderNet go here.
